Seychelles International Airport (SEZ) on Mahé is about 10 km from Victoria. A taxi to Victoria or Beau Vallon is roughly SCR 800–960 (cash only, more at night/holidays). Best time to visit
April–May and October–November are calm, clear and ideal. The southeast trade winds (May–Sep) bring breezier, cooler weather and some seaweed on east beaches; the northwest season (Dec–Mar) is hotter and wetter. It is tropical and warm all year.

Island-hopping
Mahé, Praslin and La Digue are linked by fast Cat Cocos ferries (and short inter-island flights). Book ferries ahead in peak season. On La Digue everyone gets around by bicycle; on Mahé and Praslin, hire a small car. On Mahé and Praslin, <strong>SPTC public buses</strong> are a flat ~SCR 12 anywhere you go; between islands the <strong>Cat Cocos</strong> ferry and short Air Seychelles hops link Mahé–Praslin–La Digue, and a hired car helps on Mahé.

Seychelles is a premium destination — budget accordingly. Seychelles rupees and cards are both used; pay in rupees for better value. Tipping ~5–10% is appreciated but not mandatory. Self-catering and creole takeaways cut costs.
