🛬
Airport → your hotel
Tashkent International Airport (TAS) is about 12 km from the city centre. Order a Yandex Go for an upfront fare of roughly UZS 30,000–60,000 (~$3–5) — far better than haggling with the taxi drivers at the exit. Link a card in the app for cashless payment. Add your hotel on the Day-by-Day tab for an exact distance and fare. Verified Jul 2026.
🆘
Emergencies
112 for all services. Tashkent is very safe, including at night; the main hazard is traffic, which does not stop for pedestrians.
🛂
Visa for Indians
Indian passport holders need an Uzbekistan e-Visa — it is NOT visa-free. Apply online at e-visa.gov.uz, USD 20 single entry, valid 90 days from issue with a 30-day maximum stay. Processing can take 5-10 working days, so apply at least two to three weeks before you fly.
